Has anybody seen the Tony Danza show? Mercifully, usually I'm at work when it is on so I don't see it, but during winter break I've stumbled upon it a couple times and man is it awful. How can somebody so awkward and devoid of talent have his own show? He has a hard time just reading the stupid teleprompters. And then they fill the seats with a bunch of 300 rabid middle-aged women drooling all over this schmuck of a celebrity and they expect us to believe that people are really this crazy about Tony Danza...come on!
Also on the celebrity front, I'm glad to see Jennifer Aniston is moving on. However, is it just me or does Vince Vaughn kinda seem like a step down from Brad Pitt. Don't get me wrong, I think Vince is a funny guy and I like his movies, but it's kinda like having top sirloin for dinner for 3 or 4 years , and then getting stuck eating McDonald's cheeseburgers....both of them are good, just one a heck of a lot more than the other.
Anyway, we hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve here in our house with 20+ guests, and by all accounts, everything was a raving success. On Christmas, we headed down towards Temecula to spend Christmas with my cousin Shauna and that side of the family...it was fun but the both of us were so tired, I think we would not have minded just spending Christmas at home alone....but it is nice to know that we are loved and wanted.
From Katie:
Personally, I think it was my nicest Christmas yet.... I got wonderful, thoughtful gifts (including a Dooney Bourke purse and my favorite perfume from my HUBBY and the complete Willow Tree Nativity set from my mom) I still think next year will be better because of a new little addition to the family, but still this year was so fun! Christmas Eve is my favorite, its always been the reserved night that I get to spend with my parents and siblings and we have a good time. We had some new additions this year, my best girlfriend in the world came over with her boyfriend, my Grandma, Uncles and Aunt and Billy's parents and bro came over. Needless to say our casita was filled to capacity, but I loved it!
I have never been so exhausted in all my life though! I worked hard to try and make it a nice evening for all... Billy and my mom told me it was a success so thats nice!
We also went to a fun party on Friday. Billy had no idea what an Open House was, he said he'd never been to one. Let me tell you, this was the one to break him in! The Kern's had the best food, company and most of all a karoque machine! My mom and I sang Old time of Rock and Roll, it was fun, but we didn't hold a candle to Blaine belting Feliz Navidad! We skipped the other two we were invited to to stay there!
And the parties are continuing on through this week, I've got 4 family members birthday's this week. I want to make my mom's special. I just found out she kind of got jilted as far as presents go. Me and Billy, my sisters, brother and grandma were the only ones who got her anything! And she made sure to give the nicest things to a lot of people, I guess I just wish that people thought of her as much as she though of them.... I know its better to give than to receive.... but still.
anyway I'm done. Have a Happy Holiday Season all!

We will rock you!
Well, looks we're going to see Queen in concert in April! Katie is really excited, and I am too after watching her Queen DVD the other day. I never knew so many of the songs I like were written by them.
