You can feel sorry for us.....

So we roughed this Thanksgiving holiday in San Diego. My little family and my mom and sister managed to cram into a 3 room suite at the Marriott Residence Inn on Hotel Circle. Then we managed to have the worlds best dinner at my cousins adorable house. The weather was beautiful, the food was amazing we had a fun crowd with us. Erin and I helped Andrea get wedding plans moving and Gerry and Guin showed us all of their wedding plans (dresses, flowers etc.) its going to an exciting 2008~
My girls put on an amazing show. Lia steals my Grandmas free standing cane and uses it as a microphone. She gets so into her singing that she goes cross eyed! Sophie was just being her sweet self and of course everyone melted over her new little laugh.
I think I had a lot on my mind because I kept forgetting stuff. I left all of Sophies food at Alisons house, so Billy and I had to go back and get that. (That's when I showed him where some jerk hit our car, it makes me so mad to think about! I LOVE my car and I take really good care of it! UGH!!!) Then when we went to get the girls dressed Friday morning I realized that I had packed only Sophies clothes (I guess that's what happens when you buy matching clothes) so Billy and I headed out, ON BLACK FRIDAY to go get some clothes. Well, it was actually a nice experience. Don't get me wrong I'm usually out in Cabazon at midnight looking for killer deals, but I was dreading dragging Billy into this. Well we found an Old Navy that was not in the mall, there was tons of parking, the store had maybe 50 people in it and when we went to check out two cashiers were ready for me. It was so pleasant we went nextdoor to the Borders to pick up some more gifts for the girls.
Once we got back to the hotel we headed down to the Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma. Lia had a blast with her daddy. When we were up at the monument Lia kept throwing our chips over the side of the wall, then looking for the birds to come eat! She kept Billy laughing. It was truly beautiful there, we can't wait to go back.
Oh yeah- one thing I wanted to write about getting there, you have to drive by a National Cemetery. Things in our car were kind of loud and crazy, but as soon as we were driving by there was reverence. Not that Lia or Sophie know what that means, but I have to think there is a very special spirit there.
We ended our trip at Kings Fish House where my cousins works and hooks us up with a HUGE discount on the bill, so we were not shy on what we ordered.
It was great until we woke up this morning with colds, all of us.

Here comes Santa Claus...
Getting to the happiest place in earth!

Last Tuesday I packed up the girls and met my cousins and their kids at Disneyland. Just before I left I called to make sure things were still a go, and Robin told me some sad news. They had been in San Diego for a few days (Chargers game, Legoland, Sea World... the works) and when they left for Legoland they had put all of their suitcases in their BEAUTIFUL new SUV. Well when they got to Anaheim, Dana asked Robin to go get their bags... and EVERYTHING was gone! Everything! Someone had coded the keyless entry system and took everything. Toothbrushes, clothes, shampoo they even took the girls teddy bears! Can you believe how awful that is! They also took all of the electronic stuff (laptops, cameras... you name it, gone!)
So I did the only thing I could do to help... I picked up some Mary Kay on my way out there and we still managed to have a great time. My cousins Robin and his family, Ben and his daughter and Meegan (I didn't spell that wrong) and her family were there.
Dana found out what happens when you give Lia an Oreo.... I guess its better than giving a mouse a cookie!
Oh these girls!!!

We are having so much fun with these girls! It is 6:30 am and Sophie is still sleeping, she has been sleeping for 7 to 8 hours in a row! I was able to wake up with Billy and make his lunch even!!! Lia just loves having her "Baby Offie" she even mimicks me talking to her, its the best! (I can't delete that duplicate picture!! ahhhh!)
November 10th

On Saturday November 10th my good friend Jenn married the man of her dreams... and I'm still so happy for her! It was at the Newport Beach Temple, which I think is one of the most beautiful temples I've ever been to. Its made out of salmon colored granite so its very pink! The grounds are incredible! And as you can tell by the pictures the couple was beautiful too! (and I think its time for the Francis Family blog, hee hee)

Sophie contd.

So yesterday was SCARY! Sophie woke up around 6:45 and as usual I fed her and when I went to burp her BLOOD came out of her mouth!!! Yeah I was FREAKING OUT!!! Blood is not supposed to come out of there. So I tried and tried to get a ahold of her Dr. , I left messages and called about every 15 minutes for 2 hours! Then I had to feed her again and it happened again, so by this time I was furious that I could not get a hold of anyone. So I switched providers and got her in immediately. Her new pediatrician, who Lia sees, is wonderful and did a full examination and when she stuck the light scope thingy up her nose it started bleeding. That was the problem. It must have happened when she was trying to suck her thumb at night, she rammed her finger up her nose, hit a capillary and because she was laying down the blood went down her throat. So in the end it was nothing. THANK HEAVEN!!! My nerves are about shot with everything I have going on right now. So this help me put lots in perspective and I backed out of alot of stuff I have planned in the future.
So to celebrate this wonderful baby, Lia and I set up her Jumperoo! My very sweet wonderful friend Valerie got this for her. (She also got one for her daughter Jordyn, now they can hang out together... ha ha ha)I love how high her feet were off the ground, so I copied Valerie's idea and put pillows under them. Good times.
The only thing is, the jumperoo is HUGE! and I have a small house so I had to move some furniture out...... makes me laugh!

My Sweet Sophie

So here is my first entry about Sophie:
*She is such a blessing to me! I can tell that I have become a mom, because if I were to be her babysitter I would have quit! Her G.E.R.D. makes her esophagus and nose burn and she cries alot and does not sleep. And I have not lost my patience with her yet. After I finally get her to sleep or to calm down I might have a little breakdown. Mornings are her hardest time, which makes those my hardest time.
*She has the sweetest disposition! She'll throw up all over you, cry then start smiling for you. She is such a trooper.
*She is starting to babble a lot! Its really cute when she gets excited, she'll squeal.
*It looks like she's getting ready to roll over. She's arching her back and getting on her side.
*She loves her daddy and sister and loves it when they talk to her. (She likes me too)
*She is very patient with her very loving sister.
YES! I pierced her ears. No she is not getting a tattoo! Already some smart alec asked me that! WHO CARES, its not their business! I think it looks sweet, but the main reason I do it is so that I can take care of them. If she decides she hates them, then she can take them out. (She didn't even cry when she had them done, they place I took her to doesn't use a gun)
I just love her and am so grateful she is here with me/us!!!

Lots to share!
First things first!!! This good lookin', extremely intelligent, well rounded, friendly young man is my nephew Nate and he received his mission call this week! I've been an Aunt for 26 years and I don't have favorites, but let me tell you NOTHING could make me prouder than when they make good choices! And this is an amazing (personal) choice. I know how much work it takes to prepare yourself spiritually, physically and mentally and if you read this Nate... I'll be president of your fan club!!! (Oh yeah, he's going to the Sapporo Japan mission. And he always had a feeling he'd be going to Japan so he studied Japanese for 2 years in high school!)
Poor little Sophie had to get her shots a few weeks ago. And in true Lia fashion she stole the show! They had set Lia on top of the steps leading up to the bed where I was holding Sophie. The nurse had given Lia a sucker to keep her busy while we did the ugly deed. Well as soon as Lia saw that first needle go into Sophie's leg, she started crawling across the table, pointed her finger straight at the nurse and started yelling "MEAN.... MEAN... YOU MEAN!!!!" then she looks at me "MOM, MEAN" then back at the nurse "MEAN MEAN MEAN!" When she was done the nurse asked if she was calling her mean, and I had to smile and say "yes!" Then Lia crawled over to Sophie, started rubbing and kissing her forehead and saying "Baby Offie, Baby Offie" you could say it took the stress out of that visit!

Here are some pictures from Halloween. We went to State Street in Redlands, I forgot to bring Lia's pumpkin and I thought she looked adorable walking through Sav-On with her pumpkin!
Anyway, I have tons to write, but I can't keep up! So I think I'm going to do what my friend Tammie, who I might add I am so happy to have been able to reconnect with after 10 years does, once a week she tells you about one person in her family. So plan on more of those!
I hope everyone is well, and I'm excited about welcoming Guin into this crazy family we have!
Oh yeah, and I forgot to appologize for my terrible writing on this blog. I swear I'm an intelligent person, but I get about 10 minutes to write on here so I try to get as much as possible written before I have to go dance, pull goldfish out of the carpet or change massive amounts of diapers!
