If it's 112 outside and you can't find Sophie in the house...

This is how you will find her. A dirty, red faced stinker! She has learned how to dress herself, and sneak out of the back door.

And she munches on our grapes.

But she hides behind the vines, making it especially hard to find her!

I love this girl~

Proof.

This weekend we were joking with our friends about how much being a dad changes you. I think little baby girls turns a man into a puddle of goo...
Today's proof of that was, Billy took Lia out for tacos and let her wear her Sleeping Beauty princess dress and introduced her as Princess Aurora. I love it!

and for the random...

We somehow got Lia to stay on the top bunk. I told her that if she would sleep up there everynight that I would get Princess Ariel pictures and put them on the ceiling. She said that would be beautiful! And she's been making castles out by the fruit trees...
Sophie's trying out her big girl bed. Like her shoes? She wears them all of the time. I think she feels fancy (she loves Fancy Nancy) in them.

And here it is. The one picture I let Billy take of me pregnant. I feel like a huge tank, but really I'm smaller than I was with the girls. I am carrying this baby so differently. He's low, back and picky. I can't wear certain pants because they press on my belly and he flips out the whole time, if I'm facing forward I can't lean against anything because he doesn't like anything touching my belly. I have to lean way back when I sit so he can spread out... he's so picky already. But I am excited. And he gets really excited when he hears Lia because she talks to him all of the time and rubs and kisses my belly. I have a feeling Sophie won't be as excited to meet him. She's a real mama's girl and might have a hard time sharing me.
The Dr.s tell me I'm 27 weeks but my calendar says 29 so I'll agree on 28... and that means less than 3 months... AHHHHHHHHH!
I really hate pictures of me.

A birthday party for Bill

The hideous pink wig had to make an appearance... yuck. I forgot to get candles, so some hairy guy showed up with a lighter. Just kidding Chad.

What a funny picture of Bill. Erin made his present (a bowl full of candy) to look like a piece of candy.

Ri Ri playing the drums. This ended up being kind of bad. Each girl got hit in the face.

Nern and Bill.

Bill, Lia and Brinkley got to take turns blowing out the lighter.

It's not a cute picture, but I wanted to prove that Sophie was there too.

Her shirt looks gross!!!

WE MADE IT!!!

Billy and I snuck off to Utah (sans the girls) to go to Leighton's 30th Birthday Party... we had sooooooooooo much fun! And I mean so much fun. If our girls had been with us, we'd still be up there. We left really early on Friday and made great time getting to Provo where we hung out and had lunch/dinner at Cafe Rio. I'd never been, but everyone swears by it. It was good, but seriously do these people not know about Chipotle???
After that we headed up to South Jordan to this cool place called Noah's. It's a huge event center. The party was in the game room and the racquetball room. Everything and everyone was so nice. Here is his sister Sarina cutting the YUMMIEST cake ever! (yes Mauri our pieces made it home without being eaten or melting! The girls loved it!)
The birthday boy.
Surprise!

Playing Wii at their beautiful new home.
Sidenote: I'd just like to say congrats to them on the amazing new place. It's beautiful and I loved everything about it. I hope we can move nextdoor! :o)

Mauri's feet and their adorable dogs. I'd love to keep them as personal accessories. They were really fun to play with .

ooooooh, the cake again. yum. Anything Bundt Cakes.

I just realized Bella (the fuzzy little person) is in this picture. I was just trying to get a picture of the cool game room because I knew I'd never be able to describe it well enough to do it justice.

Here's the racquetball room, which was also set up for volley and walleyball.

The backwall of the racquetball room.

See! I did a horrible job taking pictures! I didn't get one of the four of us together, none where anyone is looking! I didn't get one of us at Best Buy looking at every movie or playing videogames (although.... Mauri has some) Like when Billy lost control of the Wii remote during the Knock out game and chucked it at the $2,500.00 tv or hit himself in the face with the nun-chuck or Mauri and I laughing ridiculously hard at everything. Atleast I can write it down right???
We had the best time, they are great friends and we can't wait to get together with them soon!!!

Drive-by

It's kind of sad. I just realized I took more pictures of the drive than I did of people. I guess it was because I was having too much fun to pull put my camera when I was around our friends and bored in the car...

Someday, I'd love to actually stop in St. George and visit with my family there. It's always either too early in the morning or we're hustling back to beat Vegas traffic... I miss my cousins, its been a long time since I've seen most of them and they've never met Billy or my girls. :o(
Someday.

My Girlies

Mauri and I found these cute glasses at the Disney Store and I knew the girls would flip! Sophie's are in her crib with her right now. She won't let go of them. And Lia keeps asking when we're going to the beach. LA-LA-LA LOVE HER!!!!

This is just silly.

This is the THIRD time in a month I have posted about Zucchini... but seriously, I don't know when its going to end. These were not noticeable before we left for Utah on Friday because we both went outside and checked and picked everything that we could. Look at the size of these things.... GEEZ!

All About Lia

Yesterday Lia and I worked on a poster for her end of the year Pre-School program. We had a lot of fun. She has such an imagination! I never knew her favorite animal was a turtle, I would have guessed a horse, because she can't live without Sarah her Clydesdale. And she said she wanted to be a teacher like Miss Kathy or be in the circus someday and if she had one wish it would be for Pinochio to be a real boy or a pink room and candy.

She's writing her name now, you can see part of it by her handprint.

Fried Zucchini recipe

courtesy of Giatta DeLorenta/ www.foodnetwork.com

Ingredients
Olive oil, for frying
1 3/4 cups freshly grated Parmesan
1 1/2 cups panko (Japanese breadcrumbs) ... we used Italian bread crumbs
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
3 medium zucchini, cut into 3-inch long by 1/2-inch wide strips ... we cut them into medallions

Directions
Pour enough oil into a large frying pan to reach a depth of 2 inches. Heat the oil over medium heat until a deep-fry thermometer registers 350 degrees F.
... we poured about 1/2 an inch into a frying pan.
... we first dusted the medallions in flour or cornstarch, it made everything stick better.
Stir 1 1/2 cups Parmesan, the panko, and salt in a medium bowl to blend. Whisk the eggs in another medium bowl to blend. Working in batches, dip the zucchini in the eggs to coat completely and allow the excess egg to drip back into the bowl. Coat the zucchini in the panko mixture, patting to adhere and coat completely. Place the zucchini strips on a baking sheet.
When the oil is hot, working in batches, fry the zucchini sticks until they are golden brown, about 3 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the fried zucchini to paper towels and drain.
Arrange the fried zucchini on a platter. Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan and serve.

take that Little Miss Mary and Martha!!!

We made the BEST, and I mean they are seriously the BEST homemade fried zucchini! Take that Martha! Out of home grown zucchini! Looks like Little Miss Mary quite contrary has competition!

4th fun!

After a super lazy day at home, we went to the RCC, like we always do with the GMME's and her family. The crowd was smaller than usual, not a bad thing, and the show was better than ever! We got there around 8 and had the perfect spot and packed a little picnic. It was perfect!

This picture needs explaining. There are no lights, so as we were leaving it was VERY dark, Erin was right behind me and I was holding Sophie. She started saying "I'm going to get you Sophie" totally teasing!!! Well Sophie couldn't see her so she goes flying out of my arms and running away!!! Erin kind of flips out because she feels bad and starts running after her. It was a mess. And of course me being the total devoted blogger, I took a picture instead of helping.

My beautiful Lia and my gorgeous Elise.

Yeah, I'm still learning how to take pictures of fireworks...

Lia fell asleep after playing on the slide with Porter all morning, do you like the ipod and white gloves??? MJ would be so proud.
