Sweet, Sweet, Sweet, Baby Daylon.

I'm so grateful for other peoples stories. Not grateful that they are struggling, but that they are surviving! A few months ago I read Baby Daylon's story and wanted nothing more than to help him and his sweet family. They live about 45 minutes from me, I will probably never meet them, but I'm so grateful they have put their story on a blog:
http://lovingbabydaylon.blogspot.com:
I don't love being humbled, but am grateful for it. My in ability to loose baby weight and keep a clean house seem totally pathetic compared to what other moms are facing.
I adore this family. And they are most definitely in my prayers!!!!

My funny friends...

Friday night at 9:30, I got the crap scared out of me when someone pounded on the front door. I thought Billy got it so I didn't think anything of it. Then there was a second knock... I went and opened the door and my front step had been covered in banana's!!! I slammed the door and went and yelled at Billy. He went and opened the door and busted up laughing. Meanwhile I grabbed my phone and called Alicia because I thought Josh had done it. Somehow she convinced me to go outside and while I was out there trying to describe the mess she and Trish popped out of the dark and startled the crapola out of me. Those stinkers. It was and still is the funniest thing ever. I totally needed a good laugh. And even if it was a "banana split" instead of a "heart attack" I still felt loved. You guys rock! Oh yeah, Trish video taped the whole thing, I'm thinking it was too dark, even so I bet the audio is hilarious!

DL- Dear Leighton

Dear Leighton,

Please pack up your cute family and come visit us. Our mom said she'd buy you a sucker and even let you pick out the flavor. There are cute little duckies that we chase around...

The pineapple whip is worth the trip alone.

Your friends would be so happy to have you here!

I'll make you a surprise.

We have so much fun going on all of the rides... really we do them all, so you should come and ride them you won't get bored! Our mom said she'd take care of B.

Babies have a great time at Disneyland.

Thanks Leighton!

love,

the McNuggets

ps- you're coming either way...

Happy Mothers Day

Billy's parents brought me a bouquet of my all time favorite flowers, they grew them even! Aren't they beautiful?!!! Apparently I can't feed him fast enough...
GG came to church with us, she came to see our sweet Lia sing for the first time in Sacrament.
(by far my favorite part of the day, she was so cute up there. She was a little nervous to go up there but then she saw all of her friends going up, she got nervous that they would start with out her so she sprinted up to the front. Then sang and smiled like little rockstar she is)

I love being a mom, have I mentioned that lately?

Lia just wanted to hug Sophie, Sophie wanted nothing to do with it.

Look how big he is.

I made this cake for Cheryl's birthday. I loved it and his family said they did too, but when I gave some to my mom and sister, they didn't like it as much. It was a mandarin orange cake with pineapple and coolwhip topping and chopped strawberries... sounds good to me!

I made these necklace charms for my sister (I made myself a set with my kids names):

And keychains that can turn into necklace charms for Melissa and Grandma Cheryl:

I didn't get a picture of the charms I made my mom, but I made her 3 of those picture charms with newborn pictures of the kids. It's a fun game to try and guess who is who.
It's been fun being crafty. Those flower clips I made for baby Daylon's fundraiser sold out! I couldn't believe it!!! I was so glad I did it.

See as Lia see's:

Lia loves sneaking my little camera, I love finding shots like these:

She usually averages about 200 pictures, so I'll have to sort through all of them and post more. Some of them are really good!

MY FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR!

Spring is my favorite time of year in our backyard. We've spent the last five years working hard to make it beautiful. When we moved in it was such a disaster! A complete and total disgusting, horrible disaster!!! Thigh high weeds, randomly planted rose bushes, randomly placed trees and then a grape vine in the far back. We've (well, Billy) trenched, rotor tilled, seeded, watered, planted, killed hundreds of gophers, killed plants, re planted, improved.... you name it we did it... and now our own little paradise. Here are some of our beautiful flowers:
(Pansies are the Smiley Family flower, they were the favorite of the twins... I love planting them every year!) My peonies are coming!!!

Our little orchard is getting there! We are going to plant an orange and avocado tree, then it should be complete!!!

Billy took out a lot of the grapes and we've planted some berries. I'm excited about making jam!!!

Yeah, this one is random... I don't know what she was doing, or why she's naked!

Glad to report we didn't loose anything during the random snow we had two weeks ago!

You can't even imagine how good this smells!

This bush exploded this year!

That's one serious jasmine bush!
I'm not a huge rose fan, but this one is beautiful!

Our first sterling's!

My favorite iris, I love the orange because it's so different!

Aunt Trudy gave us two starts of Amaryllis when she moved, they make me miss her!

There are tons more, but 20 pictures of plants is enough right?!!!
