our baby!

First things first, I am an extremely nervous person. I always assume the worst and I'm usually on pins and needles during pregnancy because I don't want things to go wrong. Well I got over feeling AWFUL about 2 weeks ago, and started feeling almost alright (which I was stoked about) but then started feeling horrible again and then to top it off I wasn't feeling the baby move when I would lay down at night. So I tried not to panic but after a few nights I started panicking and made an appointment at an untrasound clinic and went this morning. They do early gender detection but our little thumbsucker had cord between their legs and so she could not get a clear picture. I am dead sure its a girl.
Here are some pictures. I'll have Billy do a better job copying them and post more later, I have about 20 pictures.
Here "she" is waving to us. I swear there is nothing more beautiful than a heartbeat! That is her big round belly and the little black dot is the heart.

So for now things are going according to plan. I have the big diagnostic one in a few weeks, but I was just relieved to see a happy bouncing baby with a good strong heartbeat!

spring is springing...

Since it has not officially sprung yet I can't post all of our amazing flowers, but its starting and I have to brag.... we have the most beautiful yard around!
Sophie loves to run around the grapevines, she'll do this as long as her daddy will let her, so about 5 minutes. This is my happy corner. The red bud tree has started to leaf out.... it makes about 4 inch heart shaped leaves, its my favorite!

Billy thinks this is the perfect flower. I do love it, it looks like a watercolor, but my favorite are the black ones... atleast thats what I call them.

And of course spring means a shopping trip to Naartjie for the cutest outfits ever (thanks Grandma)

And daddy has a new lawn mowing buddy.

I posted a ton more pictures on facebook because it takes 2 seconds to do, unlike here. So go to that website and enjoy!!!

down with down east

A few weeks ago I came across this website called downeastbasics.com and loved it because it was so much cheaper than Modbe or Shade clothing. I used to sell Modbe and LOVE their stuff. I've only liked a few things from Shade but I hate spending 18.00 on one undershirt. Well folks, they are regular priced at $9.99 on down east and they have a great sale section! Oh and the shipping is really cheap too! I just bought 6 shirts for $52.00! And that is with tax and shipping. I don't know what the quality is like... but the price rocks!

my lame game...

Because I don't take very good pictures, I take pictures of people who take good pictures.... I think its funny.

I got Melissa. She caught me! ha!
And Matt.

Someday I want to get Billy a super nice camera like they have, someday. Until then, I'll keep practicing with my newer little baby that survived the great Sierra Mist flood in my purse, maybe we'll get a new lens for it...
I was showing my sister all of our Yosemite pictures lastnight and she asked where all of our group shots were.... and I don't have one! We went with Billy's family, his parents rented the house for us to all stay in, but we didn't do alot together and I guess all of the stuff we did do together was so beautiful we forgot to take pictures of people.

People we loooooove seeing!

We were able to meet up with Billy's roomate from college and his sweet wife. I am so grateful for these two, every good memory that Billy has of his college years includes these two... or atleast one of them :o)
And when he really needed a good friend they were there. I love them and can't wait for our trip to Zion next year! (I'm holding you to it Mauri, hee hee) If not we'll go rough it at D-land for a few days with you so Lia can take you on the tea cups a million times.

Random stuff.

In our cabin/house we stayed in, there were two deer heads. I told Lia they ran into the wall and got stuck. She gave this one a kiss every morning on our way down the stairs. This was in the Mariposa Grove, this tree fell down 300 years ago (atleast that is what the lady with the information map told us). This was truly amazing and by far my favorite thing we did.

You can't help but hug these trees when you see them. The nice lady with the map was hugging every tree she saw and when she hugged a ponderosa she said he didn't hug as nicely.

Just being a happy girl.

Even happier!

More of the Mariposa Grove....

While I did this incredibly stupid hike by myself; Billy, Matt and Melissa went on the Mist Trail. I would have love to have seen this.... I think this is Vernal Falls.
(BTW, I hiked/walked to Mirror Lake, it was too crowded, small, it reminded me of the pond at Ford Park.... overall a waste of time. I told Billy I should have stayed at the house if it was going to be just the girls and I. We could have gone sledding or something)

Sassy Sophie on the way home... I adore her expressions.

More of that amazing tree!

This one is for my mom, she wanted to be sure I saw Half Dome.
Lia was patiently waiting for us to unload the backpacks to go hiking up to the lower falls. (A great thing to do with little kids I might add. Lia and Sophie did most of it by themselves.)

It snowed alot while we were there.

It was a great little hike.

Overall, it was a nice trip. We are glad to be home, I'm feeling the baby move, Billy is mowing the lawn with Sophie at his side with her lawn mower and Lia is digging for gophers and our flowers are ready to burst. Life is good. Now we just have to fix my car, bummer!

What started out as a good idea....

didn't really end up as one.

Here are the pictures in reverse. When we got back to the car (see what I mean about being a rollerskate!) it snowed on us. See, I wasn't lying.
But we did see some amazing trees.

Did I mention we FROZE?!!!! Poor Sophie, she was shaking so bad! We bundled them up extra nice and warm just before the snow started, thank goodness!

I hope Sophie forgives us!

We made it! And I caught Sophie doing something she thinks is gross!

We stopped in Wawona to kill some time and 5 minutes after we got there, we saw deer!!!!

We played on the golf course, the girls loved the sand trap!

IF you want to see the rest of our pictures, check out my facebook.... I'll get to them eventually on here, but it takes forever to upload on our old computer!

Taking off....

When we got home from my moms house after Easter Dinner we realized that we were going to have to take our little red rollerskate, aka Billy's new car, to Yosemite. We were nervous about it, like I said it is a rollerskate!
But these silly little girls made us laugh while we packed up the car.
Heavenly Father REALLY loves us, everything fit, it was tight, but it fit. And our amazing girls slept a good portion of the morning and we enjoyed our drive up without any fits. Yahooooooo!
