I did it!

Lia got her ears pierced!
And has some serious bling! And everyone was right, it was much harder on me than her!

This girl....

If you look really closely to the above picture of Lia playing in her kick-a-roo you'll notice that her hand is wrapped around toys. This may not seem amazing to anyone else, but right after I took this picture she discovered her hand for the first time! It kept swinging the toys around and she was looking at it like "Hey, what's the big idea... cut that out!" It was hilarious! And she just stared at her hand for the longest time and watched it swing the toys. She's probably already forgotten it is attached to her, but it was fun to watch. I am so glad I don't have to go back to work... I wouldn't want to miss any of this for the world!
And as you can see in the other picture Billy is getting very comfortable with his baby girl and I am proud to say that she finally is wearing something that says I love mommy. Everything else says daddy's girl, I love daddy or daddy's little angel.

I NEED YOUR VOTE!

Ok, I am trying to decide whether or not to pierce Lia's ears. I love the way it looks, and Billy wants me to have them done. Plus this way I could take care of them so they wouldn't get infected and I trust my friend ALica to pierce them. And my friend Aryan and Emily will be there to support me and Emily would have her daughters done at the same time.
But... on the other hand I broke out into tears when she got her shots, I don't know if I can handle my friend raming a metal object through her ear. I was able to decide when I got mine done, all 11 times. And my mom and sister were very against me doing it. And she is so cute with out them..... I hate this. I really thought it was going to be easy.
Tell me your thoughts.

Finally!!!!

Katie and I were finally able to finish watching the first season of 24!!!! This show is an interesting phenomenon. It is simultaneously the most enthralling, frustrating, action-packed, devastating, interesting TV show ever. Every emotion is brought out at least once during an episode. I'm already to start watching the 2nd season tonight...Katie says she is finished with the whole series, that her little heart can't take it anymore. I personally don't think she can resist it, but I'll guess we'll see.

On another front, we finally got our Key Lime Tree we'd been looking for. We also got a bunch of flowers for the front of our house, and an avocado tree. Our backyard is starting to look really nice....we just got to kill all the weeds and get ready to put the sprinklers in. Once that is done, we'll be ready to start our putting in our lawn.

What a Blessing!

Our little angel was blessed by her daddy this weekend. In all of the picture taking hoop-la I didn't notice that our camera wasn't getting used so this is the only picture I have of her in her dress. But here she is with my dad, he just loves holding this little girl.
It was a wonderful blessing, I just love Billy. He is an amazing dad and I just love that fact he was able to bless her. In fact.. it was so good that even my boss emailed me today to tell me how impressed he was!

Another thing Billy impressed me with was his dancing ablitly. He was in the wards talent show on Friday. I now want to call him Funk-Master Flex and our friend James is now Jam-Master J. There was a group of 4 men who lip synched the song Mormon Rap... I had never heard it before, but you would have been impressed. Billy ripped off his shirt and was flexing during his solo, James had some mad "bling" on including an Angel Moroni around his neck. Jared had a huge fro and impressed us all with his breakdancing ablility and then Gary had a "grill" I don't know where he found it, but he had "bling" on his teeth. It was way too much, we're getting a copy of it on dvd soon so we can share with everyone.

They rocked and had the who audience in stiches!

The things you do for love!

First... I have to honor Lia, she has been with us for a month now and we couldn't love her anymore than we do now. I had her pictures taken this week... too dang cute! (I'll post them on here later)
But... last night we went to dinner at Billy's friend Brians house. It was very nice, he is a nice guy and he has a sweet wife, she made us a great dinner. And afterwards we were visiting having a great time and then she pulls out dessert. Banana pudding. Now I look at this pudding and think to myself, do I do the polite thing and gag it down or do I tell her that I am a total banana phob and tell her I can't eat it. Now as I am thinking this Billy BUSTS out laughing and then I do too. And shes asks if anything is wrong and again I am faced with the same dilema. We tried to assure them that everything was great and then I TRIED to gag it down, luckily Lia woke up so I only ended up with maybe two full bites and I gave the rest to Billy. The world should be proud of me. I had to come home and drink cranberry juice and peanut butter to get the taste out of my mouth!
