Snow Daze!

We had a crazy snow storm this past Saturday. Billy was out of town so I packed up the kids and we went with some of our friends and we headed up to Forrest Falls. On the way up we stopped by the ranger station (smart move) to buy a parking permit and they told us that the roads were shut down because there was 2 feet of snow on the ground. After he realized we were nice people who just wanted to let our kids play in the snow he told us exactly where to park.
And it was perfect. We were right along the highway, had a perfect little hill to sled down and a ramp to walk back up and best of all we were by ourselves... which wouldn't have happened if we'd gone to Oak Glen.We had the mother of all snow ball fights... it was so fun!
T hated the snow... hated it with a passion!
Sophie had so much fun sledding by herself, the only thing she hated was the snow splashing her in the face on her way down the hill!
Lia is in the blue pants.

P buried himself... it cracked me up!

This is what we ended up doing to T, he was happy!
My mom treated the girls at the Disney Store with new Rapunzel dresses and shoes. You now have to call Sophie "Rapunzel" and Lia is "Mother" and she walks around singing "Mother knows best!"
I had to remind myself how stinkin' cute this boy is because he's teething and it's not going well and he ends up in our bed (which I SWORE I'd never do, but mama needs sleep too).

Here's Rapunzel's shoes, she really won't take them off for more than 5 seconds at a time. I'm sure she'd sleep in them if we'd let her.

They wear the everywhere, today at WinCo the deli guy announced it over their loud speaker that "WinCo had 2 Princess there today"... makes me so happy to see them so happy! (and cute... and fun)

Lia's wears band aids on her face now... she's a "disguiser~girl"

Here we go!

This is Lia's Birthday Eve cake that her daddy brought home for her.
Then at school she was superstar of the week, so she got to choose what we made on snack day. I asked her what she wanted and she said "pickles" so we made cheese sandwiches and cut the bread into triangles and used a pickle spear int he middle to make it look like a butterfly. They were a hit! (not everyone is awesome like my kid and will eat a pickle!)
Her dream come true, Mrs. Kim made her crown and we sang to her. She was also happy her dad took the day off to come and see.
She made the funniest face.
But looooooved the cupcakes. (here's a fact: I made 75 cupcakes and 3 bundt cakes in 4 days, that's alot!)
Finally our family celebration! We had our immediate family come over for dinner, cupcakes and presents. Our girl sure is loved!
Then we got ready for Uncle Matt's birthday, all I have for wrapping paper is pink or Christmas, so I wrapped his gift in tissue paper and the girls decorated it. It was fun!
Tommy's new fun thing to do, is to sneak outside, run to the fort, climb up the ladder and go down the slide... And I usually find out too late, like this time:
Billy won big at our Superbowl party! (That's an official Gatorade towel!) He's really proud of his winnings. And I have to admit, it was hands down the best party I've ever been to. Great friends, great memories and FANTASTIC FOOD! I made my famous cheeseball, chocolate cake, veggie tray and bacon wrapped maple syrup smokies! Yes, it's true, and next time they will taste as good as they sound , because I hope to have a new oven that actually works to make them in.
This time I caught him. He'd also stolen one of Lia's suckers, that's not a cigarette.

The girls had a fieldtrip to the post office. It was really cute. They had to stand in line to buy a stamp for letters they had written the day before at school. Then we went behind the scenes and watched how they processed it. I forgot my camera, so I only got pictures of them receiving their mail.
It was a little windy that day...
Just a random beautiful picture of my boy.
My Valentine's flowers:
Nern came by to play games.
I got bored and started coloring their faces. She asked for the star so she could look like Rainbow Brite!!! go me! I love that show!!!

Then the sickness came...

It all started with Tommy last week. He had a double ear infection and a respiratory infection. Then at school on Friday the girls caught the "Monster Flu" terrible fevers and coughs... awful! Then in the middle of it, Billy, Erin and I got food poisoning (I think) Saturday night.
So on Valentines Day I showed my family how much I love them by nursing them back to health.

She wanted a picture of her new necklace we got her and her Scooby Snacks.
He was so sweet when we had to do this to him...
This was also my best friend.
Finally cabin fever got to me, so we went to Oak Glen to see if it had snowed and got hot chocolate.
this one makes me laugh!!!

I went to a women's conference. One of the classes I went to was on how to create a spiritual home with young kids. And the teacher said the most important thing to do was to let your kids and everyone know that you are a "Temple Family" so we made these:
SO now everyone who reads my blog knows we are a "Temple Family"
