So I totally got the royal treatment! Geesh! I got two GORGEOUS bouquets, a new Jim Shore figurine, wind chimes, tons of cards, a beautiful garden plant, something that I've already lost (I will let you know what it is later because I am honestly crushed that it is gone and start crying if I talk too much about it) and then Billy surprised me with a tv and dvd player for our room. And when I say surprised, I don't mean that I didn't know that that is what I was getting. He had it all set up in our room playing Curb Your Enthusiasm and when I got home. He was in the backyard so I went into our room to change and when I walked in Larry David yelled "WHAT DO YOU WANT" ..... yeah to say it surprised me is a huge understatement!
We had a wonderful weekend, I spent Saturday morning searching for my moms gift and never found what I was looking for (Bono can relate) and so I had to settle for something else. Then all my Grandma wanted was to spend the day with her kids and grandkids making perogies. It was really fun. It was the first time EVER that I heard her share stories about her own mom and what a special thing it was for her to be doing this with so many of her own family members.
Then we had a fun family dinner with the Hoffmans celebrating all of the recent birthdays. Then church on Sunday, we got an ugly carnation. I don't know if I have ever let anyone know how much I HATE carnations! They are nothing more than a glorified weed! Flower shops use them as fillers to save money. Anyway rant over, so I let Lia play with it.
And then we spent the rest of the afternoon at home. We watched the Holiday on my new tv, I searched high and low for my missing treasure and ate junk food all day. It was a dream.
(Oh yeah and Lia was not screaming because I painted her toenails, in fact she thought it was the funniest thing ever! It was because I wanted to take a picture of her in her new dress from Grandma and I took the binki out of her mouth for 2 SECONDS, seriously don't mess with her binki!)
