It's still a work in progress, but we finished painting today. I need new hardware on the cupboards above the closet, that's why they are hanging open and look trashy.
We totally love it!

My Mitchell turned 21~
Tonight we celebrated Mitchell's Birthday. We had a great dinner at Romano's, but Mitch had a big surprise for us out in the parking lot. His birthday present to himself....
a 2010 Chevy Camaro SS
Gorgeous!
It has a remote start so Erin thought she'd hop in a take it for a spin... ummmmm, you need the keys in the ignition for that ding bat.
This was him taking us to the lot to go see it... I am so happy for him. He works so hard, two jobs and he goes to school full time and is almost done with his helecopter training. I just adore this kid and am so proud of the man he has become. Now he needs to take me for a ride! (I will NOT be driving)
Zoo pictures I really shouldn't have.....
B-day continued....
We had a small, but really nice and fun party with just the immediate family. Sophie was so cute and excited about EVERYTHING!
Sophie's B-day
Lia stayed up extra extra extra late helping me blow up balloons and decorate the living room and kitchen.
She was so excited for Sophie to have her car!
No pictures!
Since the last of my brain cells have been sucked away and I'm a little dingy when tired I really shouldn't be allowed to do some things.
Prime example:
We went to the San Diego Zoo yesterday. We spent the first little bit at the Balboa Park, which has to be one of the best places in So Cal., then headed over to the zoo. It was Billy's last day of vacation and I know he wanted to have a good time. So I did my best to keep up, keep a smile on my face and go everywhere. It was a beautiful day, the weather was nice, but hot and it's a lot of walking so I was WORN OUT around 5 and we sat down to have ice cream (well everyone else ate ice cream, I had water and carrot sticks )o: ) and I was taking pictures of the pretty flower Cheryl had put behind Lia's ear.
When everyone was done we cleaned up the girls then headed over to the kids zoo. Talk about cute, the girls were loving it and we found a cute place to take their picture. So I start looking for my camera.... it's not there! I was crushed/devastated/heartbroken! Seriously, who would turn in a camera like that? So I jam back over to where we were sitting (I did go fast, you can ask Bill) it's not there. I asked the vendors nearby if anyone had asked them where the lost and found was or turned in a camera to them. They all said no. So I'm still fighting back tears and nerves and head back over to Billy and the girls to search the stroller, still no luck. And the look on Billy's face is exactly how I felt "That was our one chance to have a nice camera, I hope you like disposables!" So I told him I was going to head back over to the entrance where the lost and found was, and they all followed. I must have looked terrible because the guy running the kid activity stopped what he was doing and came over to ask me if I needed help and he escorted me to where I needed to go. By the time I got to the window, the nice man in guest services came right over "Honey, are you ok? What can I do for you?" "I...... I ....... IIII loooooooooost my my my cam...... camera" he asked me to tell him what it looked like. "IIIIIIIIT's a Can... Caaaaannon, it's a powershot, but doesn't really look like one, it says it on the strap (my nerves were coming back to me) it's big, it's black......." AND HE PULLS IT OUT OF THE LOCKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some sweet employee had picked it up and turned it in. Seriously my knees buckled. And when I had to fill out the paper to claim it, which all I had to do was fill out my name, sign and date it. I forgot my last name was McIntosh, I had no idea what the date INCLUDING the year was.
Thank you Lauren Diaz from Building and Grounds, you will be getting a letter from me. Not only for turning in my camera, but reminding me that there are still good and honest people out there!!!!

thank you thank you thank you!

Billy has been making (serious) fun of me because I have started nesting/ freaking out. I have spent weeks looking for a diaper bag. I know that sounds dumb, but I've learned my lesson each time I got a new one. With Lia I had a HUGE Dooney Bourke, I love it to death, I still use it as a purse, but it has 1 pocket for a cellphone and it doesn't stay on your shoulder if you have too much stuff in it. Then with Sophie I got the Ju Ju Be packable, its a great bag too! The straps change from an over the shoulder, to a messenger bag to a backpack in seconds. It has great pockets, easy to clean, super cute but HEAVY! Since I bottle feed I carry 3 times the normal amount of stuff, having a lighter bag made sense. I also found that I liked messenger style straps better because it made it easier to get into the bag.
So knowing all of this I set off trying to find the right bag for me. I found it a BabiesRUs, its the JJ Cole Mode bag and I found it in my colors. (I did try out every bag there too, Sophie was very patient with me) I just figured I'd talk to Billy about it before I bought it because I don't spend money on anything but groceries without asking about it first. And when I got home and told him about it, he got "upset" and told me to use my old one. So I just figured I would. Bummer.
That night he went out with his friends to see a movie and when he came home he had it over his shoulder! He just wanted to surprise me. What a guy!!! I love him!!!
We took it to the zoo yesterday and it really is a great bag, I highly recommend it!

two-morrow
My sweet little Sophie tuns 2 tomorrow. The living room is decorated with balloons, tissue paper flowers, banners, glitter and her present! I let Lia stay up and help me, we've had a blast!
Remember her cheeks?!!! Talk about a gorgeous baby!
This was her first night home. It cracked me up that she slept with her mouth open.

We've got a date!
I had my Dr's appt. today, it went ok. The best news was that he set a date for my induction, October 14th!
I do have to do that yucky 3 hour glucose test, not so fun. But the baby still looks good and that's what really matters.

Special thanks!
I (well Tommy) was totally spoiled this week. My sister Tam gave me his first blanket, which I LOVE! and my mom got him the SWEETEST Blessing outfit and then on Saturday... it was my better version of a spa day! My mother in law Cheryl took me out for the day. We hit all of the clearance racks at Kohls, Carters, Osh Kosh and Gymboree plus I had bonus coupons so we found some amazing deals and a few splurges! We also had a nice lunch and good converstaion.
Thank you all again. It warms my heart to know that our little man is so loved and well taken care of.
I have all of the newborn stuff all washed and put away, his hospital stuff all ready to pack when I do my own and I can't help but look at all of these sweet things over and over and can't wait to put him in them!
8 weeks and counting! tick tock tick tock!

August Birthday Bash
This past weekend we had a long over due Cassidy Family bar b que. It was at Alan and Andrea's. We had a blast! It is Sophie, Andrea's and my Grandma's birthday this month. Here is Sophie taking her turn, sorry these are blurry, I was taking these paparazzi style.... over everyone's head.

The host's.

(this was not at the party, but Lia is making these amazing cities. We're really proud of her and her imagination!)

Bill was nice enough to catch Lia for about a half an hour.

(love the princess headband)

Sophie loved her blower, she went through a whole package because she kept taking them in the pool.

Sophie of course fell and busted her lip and her molars are still coming in so she was holding her cheeks alot.
