Thanksgiving 2010

I keep catching this guy everywhere... really, everywhere!

This year my mom planned a little get away for all of us at a Lodge up in Big Bear. Lia later renamed it Brown Bear, Brown Bear. We had the best time! Thank you does not even come close mom, the memories are priceless!
The girls school also had a party, my girls dressed up. Lia was an Indian Princess and at first I put the hat only on Sophie and she looked at me like "ARE YOU KIDDING ME MOM, LIA GETS THE CUTE DRESS AND ALL I GET IS A STUPID HAT?!!!!" so I whipped up this little dress out of a pillow case and called her a "Pilgrim Princess"... she was happy!

Back to Big Bear. We drove up in a snow storm and it was 14 degrees when we got there. That's when I realized the windbreakers and sweatshirts I'd packed weren't going to cut it. So I packed up the girls and went to the Macy's of Big Bear... aka K Mart and loaded up on new snow gear. Lucky for my bank account it was all on sale! It was fun to pick it all out. Lia had to have a scarf like Nern wears and she wanted fur on it too. Sophie wanted sparkles, it took almost an hour and a half to pick it all out!
Back at Macy's of BB, they had to ride this carousel every time we went there... we went there a lot!

T could have cared less! In fact the poor guy had major altitude sickness for most of the trip. We read that it can last up to 36 hours... he had it that long.
The lodge had an indoor pool, my mom and sister are such good sports and took the girls... if you only knew what they bought and put together to wear as swim suits... again, thanks Macy's of BB.

I had to put this one up, my mom and I joked that these ducks are soooooo lucky my dad wasn't with us or we'd all have our own personal duck to eat on Thanksgiving.

I almost got everyone, you can see most of our refelctions in the mirror. Desi's has the best kabobs!
T was freezing, after I took this picture I gave him my coat then ran around different stores looking for something else to cover him. I do love my kids, even enough to freeze in short sleeves in the mountains... as a reward, I got a cute new scarf! (I wrapped him up tight in it while we were in town.)

It was such a great holiday, I hope everyone had as much fun, food, family and festiveness as we did!!!

Now appearing (in no particular order) our busy life:

Here is the proof that we have been way too busy. Look at the size of this gopher mound, it's over 3 feet long! I hope those varmints had fun while it lasted, because they have royally ticked off my husband and there is h&(* to pay when you mess with his yard!

Lastnight we had Lia's end of the year soccer party. I really am going to miss these sweet girls and their parents. It was such a good experience for all of us!

We also had a tour of the Redlands Firestation, thanks Erin for setting that up for us!
We love our pre-school friends!

We went with the YM/YW to the temple.
Lia had her last soccer game.
Billy took a day off (thank you honey) and we went to Disneyland for the last time before our passes expire and we are not renewing them.

(I had my hair straightened... its so amazing! If you are thinking about it, just do it! It has cut my time to get ready in the morning by an hour! (I got the keratin one)

Sophie has had a big few weeks! I finally figured out how dang smart she is. I finally put two and two together... if you put a diaper on her she'll go in it, if you don't put a diaper on her she won't go in her pants. Works like a charm. She even made it through the whole day at DL with no issues. I also pierced her ears and cut her hair. And by saying that, I literally mean I cut her hair in my bathroom and pierced her ears in my kitchen, using a piercing gun.


My last favorite thing we did was Erin's graduation party. My mom booked it at Romano's in Redlands. It is so nice, the food was great and it was so wonderful to see so many amazing family members and friends!




Alison and I made treats for the dessert bar, we rule!
