I keep catching this guy everywhere... really, everywhere!

This year my mom planned a little get away for all of us at a Lodge up in Big Bear. Lia later renamed it Brown Bear, Brown Bear. We had the best time! Thank you does not even come close mom, the memories are priceless!

The girls school also had a party, my girls dressed up. Lia was an Indian Princess and at first I put the hat only on Sophie and she looked at me like "ARE YOU KIDDING ME MOM, LIA GETS THE CUTE DRESS AND ALL I GET IS A STUPID HAT?!!!!" so I whipped up this little dress out of a pillow case and called her a "Pilgrim Princess"... she was happy!

Back to Big Bear. We drove up in a snow storm and it was 14 degrees when we got there. That's when I realized the windbreakers and sweatshirts I'd packed weren't going to cut it. So I packed up the girls and went to the Macy's of Big Bear... aka K Mart and loaded up on new snow gear. Lucky for my bank account it was all on sale! It was fun to pick it all out. Lia had to have a scarf like Nern wears and she wanted fur on it too. Sophie wanted sparkles, it took almost an hour and a half to pick it all out!

Back at Macy's of BB, they had to ride this carousel every time we went there... we went there a lot!

T could have cared less! In fact the poor guy had major altitude sickness for most of the trip. We read that it can last up to 36 hours... he had it that long.

The lodge had an indoor pool, my mom and sister are such good sports and took the girls... if you only knew what they bought and put together to wear as swim suits... again, thanks Macy's of BB.

Ducks were everywhere! I loved this nest of snow...

How cute is this one?!!!

Yes, this was our (pathetic yet adorable) shot at a snowman.

We worked hard.

Sunny over me and dumping snow at Snow Summit, works for me!

This one is for my dad!

Billy got there Wednesday morning... we were all so happy!

I had to put this one up, my mom and I joked that these ducks are soooooo lucky my dad wasn't with us or we'd all have our own personal duck to eat on Thanksgiving.

Pretty girl~

I almost got everyone, you can see most of our refelctions in the mirror. Desi's has the best kabobs!

T was freezing, after I took this picture I gave him my coat then ran around different stores looking for something else to cover him. I do love my kids, even enough to freeze in short sleeves in the mountains... as a reward, I got a cute new scarf! (I wrapped him up tight in it while we were in town.)

How could you not love this view out off of our deck!?!!

Can't you tell he didn't feel good?

Our crowd on Thanksgiving.

The rest of them.

The Pilgrim Princess cam e for a visit too.

Only I post fuzzy pictures I'm sure, but you should have heard their conversation about cutting the Turkey.

Sophie loved my chocolate cream pie.

Like glass!

T was wondering what this contraption is... he's never played in one before.

Again, climbing on whatever!

Getting ready to take a picture. If you're wondering where Sophie is, she's off to the side yelling "NO, I NOT GOING HOME" over and over and over and over and over!!!!

I handed Lia my camera and she wanted to take pictures so that she wouldn't forget anything. She snapped her dad...

her grandma!

the snapple machine???

I didn't post the pictures of the bathroom though.
And here is Sophie... she actually wanted to jump in, that's a miracle!

It was such a great holiday, I hope everyone had as much fun, food, family and festiveness as we did!!!

That looks like so much fun! The kids look so cute. I love Sophie's comments, she really makes me laugh. Bridgette is getting into everything just like Tommy. Yesterday morning while I was getting ready she decided she wanted to explore underneath my sink in the bathroom. Great fun!! Lots to clean up afterwards. I hope you guys are doing well. We really miss you and wish we could see you soon.
Love, love, LOVE the family photo on the top of your blog!
I think the altitude made your kids grow like a year older! They are getting so big! Glad you had fun and didn't freeze too bad...we know how it feels! :-)
Gma Yellow Hair sez. "This is one of my very favorite posts that you've done." Thanks for taking the time to do it. Love you all.
That looks about 1,000 times better than our Thanksgiving (which I previously thought was nice)! And I agree, how did your kids get so old all of the sudden! Sophie is all tall and sassy! Poor Tommy and the altitude sickness.
