A.I.

Yes dear friends, I am indeed addicted to American Idol. I think the best, most talented, super star is David Cook. BUT I don't want him to win. I think the stigma that comes with winning can damage your career. I think he could be the next Daughtry.
I screamed last week when they said this weeks mentor would be Neil Diamond. I watched the Jazz Singer a couple of weeks ago and have been on a Neil Diamond kick ever since. As soon as Jason Castro sang the first song I got scared. Then Brooke butchered "Now I'm a Believer" I was having flashbacks to the night they had Queen. Luckily it got a little better. I LOVED David Cook for sure, I loved how Brooke sang "I am I said." Its just hard to hear people turn classic songs into crappy pop songs. Case and point David Archuletta, sorry Valerie. He does have a good voice.... I'm just not down with "Sweet Caroline" all poppy.

It can always be worse.

So in talking to some friends today at church, they were at CA Adventure the same day and time we were, and they lost one of their daughters. I'll take a broken stroller and camera anyday over that.
We had another productive weekend here at the McIntosh casita. Billy's parents gave him/us an awesome b-day present last weekend. They got us new closet doors and custom shelving.... its so nice. Our teeny weeny little house has to have some serious changes to make room for all of us. Billy was sharing the closet with Lia in the nursery and I was sharing with Sophie in my room. Now its as it should be. Billy and I had to get rid of two trunk loads full of clothes... and we still have a ton of stuff!
So this weekend we took apart the closet in the nursery. We removed the 500 lb doors, painted the walls lavender and re-did the trim white. We also moved the dresser into the closet and it opened up the room. I'm THRILLED with the results, it looks so sweet!
Here are some very cute things that Lia did this weekend:
When I was doing a color test in her room, she looked and said "oh mommy, its beautiful!" then this morning after I had finished putting her new dress on, she stood up and grabbed the sides of the dress and did a little twirl and said "pope-a-dots mom, beautiful" you could tell she felt so pretty in the dress. (And if could couldn't translate pope-a-dots.... she was saying polka-dots.
Oh yeah, and then tonight just after I had finished working in her room putting EVERYTHING away she went in there to play. Seriously not even 5 minutes after I was done I went back in there to check on her, she had found a bottle of baby powder, still don't know where it came from, but it was EVERYWHERE! It covered everything.
She also fed Sophie dog food.
Thank heaven Sophie is the sweetest baby, she has to put up with a crazy fun sister.

Its been a while...

Well, there will be no pictures on this post because of an incredibly terrible, horrible, no good, very bad trip to DISNEYLAND!!! I still cannot believe it myself! We have been to DL more times than I can count... that was where Billy and I decided to make our "coupledom" official. We LOVE that place. But let me tell you how our day went.

As we were walking out the door I got a phone call about scouts that put me in a frustrated mood.

I took the stroller out of the trunk... it was BROKEN! My $300.00 indestructible stroller was useless.

We lugged the girls up to CA Adventure and rented 2 strollers.

As i was loading the rented strollers, I realized that I had left all blankets, jackets and DIAPERS in the broken stroller in the car!

It was really crowded and we couldn't get on some of the rides we wanted. (we're kind of snobs, we won't wait more than 15 minutes)

We decided to find a good spot, get corn dogs and wait for the new parade.

The corn dogs were crap, after an hour and a half of waiting for the parade we got kicked out of out spots because people would have to walk through (we were on benches) and Billy got into a nice fight with a worker over it.... then when we get settled in our new seats I pull my new camera out of the diaper bag.... only to find the screen totally cracked!

After the parade we left and went over to DL.

We went over to see how long the wait for Nemo is. There is no line. Its broken, but supposed to open. I have to change Lia's diaper.
By the time I make it around the water the line has re-opened with a 2 hour wait.

ummmmmmm....... I know I ripped out a chunk of Lia's hair on the button of my shirt, and thats about all the bad stuff I can remember.

We ended the night on a really good note. Lia and I went on the carousel and she was happier than we could have imagined so we decided to leave right then.

Just cause I'm lazy!

Just because I'm lazy, I've decide to post a blog entry instead of going out to the car finding my cell, then finding the charger and then sending Valerie a text message.
Dear Valerie,
I hope that you are having a good night at work. You are a great example of what a strong, smart and loving wife and mom should do for their family. Your sacrifices are for the benefit of your family and you set a great example for all of those who know you.
You know that I love you to death... now would you please stop sending me pictures of fried bananas :)
President of your fan club,

April update

Here is Sophie all worn out after eating some gross concoction of vegetables...
Oh, and she's sitting up now. (She's a lot more confident now, here she's kind of slouching)
I've been trying to get Lia's hair all one length, this cut got a little out of hand so I decided to post a picture of the lost hair not the finished cut. Sad. Lia is also OBSESSED with washing her hands. I think she enjoys putting her stand up to the sink and turning on the water, she'll do this as long as you'll let her. Well I guess I forgot to take Sophie's bath thing out of the sink, so Lia put it where I put trash... in the toilet.

Time for some pics....

We are fortunate to have some WONDERFUL friends who could not use some Angels tickets so they passed them along to us for Saturday's game against Texas. It was the opening series so I was really excited to even get to go! I'm so glad we went that day, it was the only game against Texas that they won!
(I had purchased two tickets for Sunday's game for Billy's b-day, they were third row behind first base, they were $175.00 and let me tell you I had the WORST case of buyers remorse ever! First that it was on a Sunday and those are our family day, second that it was a conference Sunday and third that it was way too much money for me to spend on 2 tickets! and they lost miserably so I'm really glad I was able to get rid of them)
Daddy and Lia had SOOOO much fun together! He let her pick out her rally monkey and she picked by far the UGLIEST monkey ever made, but she sure does love it and she sleeps with it every night now. Auntie Nernie went along with us, we had so much fun!!

The infamous "Scrunchie Face" so stinkin funny!
Angels really do exist!
Two of them live with me and Billy!

Oh, and I was the only one who wanted the girls to wear the halos... Billy and Erin thought it was totally lame, but we had people pulling over in the parking lot to tell me how cute it was. So there.

Own a Navigator, Range Rover, Heavy Duty, Suburban, BMW 745 IL and probably a Mercedes just because I could. I buy a horse ranch and run programs for handicapped kids, free of charge, invest the majority of money in Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and cancer research so people don't have to suffer like my dad, uncle, grandma and grandpa. I'd make sure my kids knew the value of education and hard work. And once they had received their degrees I'd give them the money to accomplish any goal or dream they'd ever had. I'd probably try to do a lot more good too..... the possibilities are endless!

3- I watch reality tv.... why, I still don't know

8- 5 random things
note: there are far too many, so narrowing it to 5 will be hard.
