the meerkat
Here is Billy's favorite animal, the meerkat. And would you believe it... we have on captured in our backyard!

Lazy Days
I knew the day would come.
The day has finally come.... my make-up is no longer safe. And she thought that if she rubbed my leg it would make me "happier"... I did laugh and I wasn't mad. BUT if it was my new MK compact.... ooooooh, it would have been a bad day at the McIntosh Casita.

I am still so dumbfounded by the whole thing I posted this picture twice.
Oak Glen
We went to Oak Glen with my mom the other day. We had by far the best breakfast we'd ever had! We all shared everything, my favorite though was the pancakes with apple syrup... to die for good! Lia loved the view out of the window, squirrels were running by and kept her very entertained.
My mom bought them this bonnet, it truly melts my heart!

And this is the little broom set Lia got, seriously who ever came out with toys that promote cleaning and helping out the mommy is a freaking genius! I still am thankful everyday for her little dirt devil! (She also got a little apron and a rolling pin so we can bake! fun times!)
WHY??!!!?!!!????!!!!!

Why did we think it would be a good idea to go to Disneyland on the last day that passes were good for the rest of the summer???? I don't know. It all started off by having to park on the top of the parking structure and then there was a 20-30 minute wait for the ELEVATOR! Refusing to wait for that we decided to carry the stroller and babies down the escalator, that was turned OFF! (I should add that this was after my first stroller stride work-out group thingy, 1 hour of kick your butt exercising geared for mommy's and holy cow I can still barely bend my legs! awesome!)
The last ride of the day was Nemo, Lia was beyond intrigued, she kept saying "Daddy, its amazing!!" Needless to say we can't wait to go to Sea World this summer.

Sophie is so big and just beautiful!!
Oh yeah, and did I mention that I waited longer for Dumbo that I did to go on the freaking Nemo ride?! If we do decide to re-new our passes, I'm glad I don't have to see the inside of that place for months! Only crazy people would go now....

Happy FathersDay
I tried my best to make sure Billy had a wonderful Fathers Day, I still hate that I can't celebrate with my dad. Atleast I have wonderful memories.
For his present I had Lia finger paint a picture frame for him, I got him a new wallet... I even filled it with all of his stuff so he could use it right away. We also gave him some nice cards, BUT his main present was......
All of this! A new tv (we got it a few weeks ago) Playstation 3 (also the Blue-ray DVD player), a lot of accessories to go along with it, plus 3 games he wanted.... then the entertainment center! The amazing, wonderful, perfect entertainment center of my dreams! And it really was, I drew it up, made custom measurements and his dad built it in his garage (with the help of his mom) then she and I stained it. I'm not even going to talk about the stain drama, but it was good. And in the end we have this amazing center that we are so excited and grateful for!!!!
This isn't a very good angle, but it looks really nice on the wall, and we have to have it more on the right because of the doorway, I'm thinking about putting a tree next to it so it looks a little more proportional. But like I said, the angle of this pic. does not do it justice.
So anyway, not only was this Happy Fathers Day, but Happy 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Columbus Day, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Year, Valentines Day, St. Patricks Day for the next 5 years! (The only one that doesn't count is his Birthday, the next one is the big 3-0 and I have plans for that!!!)
We love you Daddy/Billy!

Its my party and I'll cry if I want to....

But I'll only cry happy tears, I swear. I had such a great day on Thursday. I got to pick up my older sister from the airport. And on the way back into town, we stopped by Loma Linda Market to pick up our dads favorite birthday cake. Then my girls fell asleep and so I decided to be selfish and we stopped by Theron's Frozen Custard... and we ate in the car so I didn't have to share!
Then we went back to my mom's and waited for people to arrive. Erin made us an amazing shrimp dinner, and we had 3 different desserts. My brother Geoff's family was there also and he showed up in his insane new toy. That van is by far the biggest thing I have ever seen! But I have to admit its pretty cool.
It was such a fun night and on my way home I was thinking of how bittersweet it is, my dads birthday is the day after mine so we ALWAYS had parties together and this is my second one without him...
Then I pulled up to my house and my porch was covered in boxes and flowers, I am very loved!
On Friday we went and saw Wicked again... its still amazing, but check out what happened as soon as we got off of the party bus and crossed the street (I mean the SECOND we got off of the street)

Dear Dad
Dear Dar,
It was two years ago today you returned home to Heavenly Father. I still miss you as much now, but that's ok. I still talk about you all of the time. I am going to make sure my girls know everything about their Grandpa Timmy.
They are going to know what it is like to have a happy childhood. And that you had the best smile anyone has ever seen!
They are going to know about determination.
They will probably go gray by the time they are 30 too, I'm well on my way!
They are going to know about unconditional love.
Blessings....
Patriotism....
I hope they will leave an amazing legacy, just like you did.

We'll always have your favorite chocolate prune cake from LLU Market... always.
"Don't smile or your face will crack"

I love you dad.
You are so missed, but I know we will be together again. Thank you for all you did for us, you have set an amazing example to live by.
