A little getaway!

A few weeks ago I got a call from my mom, she said that she and my sister were going to spend the weekend at the beach and asked if we'd come visit. I told her sure, because who wouldn't want to go to the beach right??? She called me back later to say that she went ahead and got us a room too!!! Such a nice surprise!!!!
We got to enjoy some fun family time with just the 5 of us in our amazing hotel room!

Sophie must have hit a soft spot! ha ha ha.

We also went out on the town. I need to find one of these that says "A friendship divided"

We had never ridden the Balboa ferry, so we tried it. Not my favorite thing. But we made it a fun adventure.

Billy navigated through the crowds like a champ.

I was in the far back and wished I could have opened up my window. I was sick in about 2.5 seconds.

It was labor day weekend so the beach was PACKED!

And of course went back to Sprinkles and waited in that crazy line for 25 minutes!!!! Yes, for cupcakes!!!!
Bringing the pack n play to the beach was the smartest idea I've ever had! T was so happy!!!He also loved playing in the sand and water with Nern. It's never ok to visit Balboa with out going to Ruby's on the pier.
And scaring mom to death!
Where's Waldo? I mean Where's Billy?

Our hotel had the most beautiful pool area! Complete with cabana's, a salt water pool and complimentary drinks! It was also on the third level of the hotel so when you were standing in the pool you could feel the vibrations from the elevator.Of course Sophie was glued to Grandma.
And Tommy was glued to Erin. Each cabana had a flat screen in it!

It was such a beautiful place! They even made wash cloths fancy!

... and your spare roll of toilet paper!

... and nice flat screens...

... fancy soap dishes on granite counter tops, and the soap was amazing! I need to find out where that brand is sold because it wasn't in the gift shop...

Our room even had an entry way!

The beds were heavenly, the hotel was very upper class, 5 star, not what I'm used to, but could get used to it very easily :o) ... We came home all smiles and very grateful for the fun adventure we had with Grandma and Nern!
